What is FORRÓ? Forró is a driving and energetic, yet romantic style of music from the Northeast of Brazil. It is music that will make you want to dance. A cousin to other accordion styles such as Merengue and Zydeco, Forró comes from the African word “forrobodó” meaning a big party where everyone is dancing and playing music. Mispronounced by the English railroad workers in Brazil Forró became FOR ALL· Forró is music for everyone!
