Cherry Caipirinha

  • 1 ½ ounces of Beleza Pura® Super Premium Cachaça
  • Four eighths of a lime
  • 4 cherries (pitted)
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • ¼ ounce Velvet Falernum

Place lime quarters and the cherries in the bottom of the mixing glass, add the Velvet Falernum and the syrup and muddle well. Add Beleza Pura® to the mixture in the mixing glass and using the rocks glass, measure a glass of ice into the mixing glass and shake well. Pour the entire contents of the mixing glass back into the rocks glass and serve.

Blue Havaiana

  • 2 oz Beleza Pura® Super Premium Cachaça
  • 1 ½ oz orange juice
  • 1 ½ oz pineapple juice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • splash blue curacao

Shake all ingredients (except blue curacao) with ice. Finish with a splash of blue curacao on top and garnish with an orange wedge.

Grapefruit & Ginger Caipirinha

  • 2 oz Beleza Pura® Super Premium Cachaça
  • ½ cup fresh grapefruit, cut in chunks
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp sugar or simple syrup
  • splash of triple sec

Muddle grapefruit, ginger, and sugar in a non-breakable glass. Add Beleza Pura, triple sec and a rocks glass full of ice, and shake well. Pour contents into a large rocks glass. Garnish with thin slice of grapefruit.

Beverage Industry: Cachaça Invasion

Beverage IndustryExcalibur Enterprise, New York City has launched a line of super-premium Cachaças, Brazilian-style rum, in the United States.

The Excalibur portfolio includes an un-aged Cachaça as well as six handcrafted, aged Cachaças from small producers. In addition to Beleza Pura® Cachaça, an un-aged, super-premium Cachaça produced with selected lots of sugar cane and wild yeast, the offerings will include two varieties of Cachaça Rochinha: Single Barrel 5 Year-Old and Single Barrel 12 Year-Old; GRM Silver, Small Batch 2 Year-Old; and Armazem Vieira in three styles: Esmeralda Solera 4 Year-Old, Rubi Solera, and Onix Solera 16 Year-Old.

The Cachaças will be sold in 750ml. Bottles and range in price from $27.99 to $84.99.Excalibur also plans to unveil a ready-to-drink version of Brazil’s national drink, the Caipirinha, in January 2005. Beleza Pura® Caipirinha is a blend of lime, sugar cane and Beleza Pura® Cachaça.
